Hi Jacques
Yes it sure turned out to be more emotional than I thought.
My youngest had a huge meltdown screaming and crying. Went for over an hour. She is fine now and dancing with her sister.
I feel like I'm in shock it really affects me.
I've picked out a couple of calm books to read to the girls in bed. Just some quiet time.
I hope your day went to plan. And you got some rest. The bad nights sure do take it out of you.
Thanks for thinking of me
Karen

Hi Karen,
Oh no, the poor little thing, it does sound to me like an emotional release from her, the face that she is dancing and playing with her sister shows that, i know it must be so hurtful and sad for you. it is good she is getting it all out, it will help her in the long term, i know it feels like it is directed at you, but she sounds scared, and you are the closest person to her.
I am glad you are going to read some books to them, hold them close, and try to have some laughs, you need to break up the hightened emotion in the house.
You are doing really well Karen, i am proud of you, remember you are not alone, i am here for you anytime. yes i slept most of the afternoon, the sleeping is getting so out of control, i am so tired all the time, but other than that i just sat looking out the window all day.
take care my angel i am thinking of you.
Jacques

Hi @hiddenite
Sorry to hear it was a tough day. You show a lot of strength by bringing your girls home and being there for them. It sounds like you did a great job at calming them down 🙂
What books do you like to read them to calm them down? I use to be a primary teacher, and I found a silly book, like interrupting Chicken (by David Ezra Stein) to be distracting (not quite calming through!)
Hope tomorrow is better than today.

Hello my angel,
i am just about to go mow the lawn, just thought i should check in, i feel i have been a bit slack talking to you this week, i have been a bit al over the place.
anyway i hope it is sunny where you are and you have found a nice place to spend the day, i hope your daughter managed some sleep last night after the outburst.
i hope you are coping at the moment, i know how hard it must be to have the girls having breakdowns like that, since you are so fragile yourself.
My thoughts are with you my friend, stay safe
Jacques

Hi Niknik
The girls enjoy Dr Seuss books, the best nest, the lorax, hair,
Green eggs and ham. So many to choose.
Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier but my daughter wouldn't settle and I was up to her most of the night.

Hi Jacques
Mowing the grass that's sure going to play havoc with the hay fever.
I walked this morning, watching the cows and horses, mountains in the background.
The smells of farm animals, kookaburras ,cockatoos, rosellas, king parrots. Even saw a couple of baby rabbits. Spring must be on the way.
Enjoy your day j
