beginer on a computor

@maddison ok ive got my big toe on the shift, my pinky on the 2 next to the letters, and typing with other hand.  JUST KIDDING. Im getting there thanks, for help.  so i guess this one will go to you, but others can see it somewhere. and if i dont do the,  shift@ , step , then it goes some where,  where every one can see it.  i will just plod along with that. i have to be care full i dont make to many mistakes or they will give me a government portfolio. hope every one is warm safe and dry. i have an egg bound chook so doing the olive oil treatment. might be an explossian so better go. thanks again

@maddison  hi, i typed a letter but i dont think it posted. so i will just make this a quicky and say thankyou, and can you tell me what it means when it says ,your content has been auto saved. thanks again. tonys

Also, I not sure if you already know, but in the bottom left hand corner of your messages there is a thumbs up symbol - that tell's you who like your posts.

@FloatingFeather thankyou for letting me know. i did wonder about the suport and thumbs symbols, one last thing i need to know. when is it going to stop raining.  there must be a key on this machine to do that , i ll keep looking, take care every one, and thanks again.

@FloatingFeather i found if i put my finger in the wall socket where the computor plugs in, the rain seems to stop till i wake up. hope that helps. dont  reply , i dont deserve it for that one. sweet dreams everyone

@FloatingFeather ok i think the letter  that was meant to go to the person that wrote the learning resistance article went to the lonely 45 person so i still havent worked out how i send

a compliment to some one that has written something profound and a comfort sandwich to feed some struggleing soul , might need some more help one day when you get some spare time and i do know you have a lot of people to help so please put me at the end of the que. happy days tonys

Hi @tonys , you asked about the "autosaved content" - it's just an automatic save that happens when you're typing out your reply. I ignore it most of the time, unless I happen to lose my reply while typing it for some reason, then I click "load autosaved content" and it comes back.

To send, it's really just uploading a post to the website. If you've tagged someone, they will get a notification in their email inbox and also in "New" (top right on the website). If you've pressed "Reply" and are typing out a reply, then pressing "Post" will send/upload the message to the website.

@NatureLover thanks for your help. the saved bit i now get. and i can tag some one to send to them personally.  so im thinking ther are people that reply to some thing i sent. if i find it i can reply direct. then there are people that sent  letters to other peoples posts or forums i think they are called. i i see one i can tag them. then you have and article like , build resistance that i came accross . ( is that called a blog or a post) ? and not sure how to leave a comment where the auther will see. but ill have another go latter in the week. back on the farm a post goes in the whole, a blogs what a stepped when i walked out the back door, and threads are the hand me down rags that pass for wardrobe here, and yes im sure some one helped me with all this but my computor is getting as messy as my place. now , no need to repply , im going to see what my new friend mr google has to say. if i were there id give you a big thankyou hug, . take care and stay safe. tonys.

I'm wondering if what you're looking for is a way to send a direct (private) message to someone on the forums? Unfortunately there's no way to do that. The moderators need to see what we post, in order to keep us all safe.

You can find their reply by going to "New" in the top right hand corner, and then clicking on the specific notification (scroll down the list).

It's called a thread, and you leave a comment by clicking "Reply" and typing a post, then pressing "Post". 

I hope you're enjoying the forums and not finding them too complicated!
