Just checking in.

Re: Just checking in.

Re: Just checking in.

Always here with you even when I'm not my wonderful CB Heart

You have been through a lot with me and if I can repay that with even part of what you have done for me in the past then only too happy to do that @CheerBear.

You are much loved and mush admired here Hon and despite this being a big oopsie it is one you can come back from - hugs and hugs and just a tag away whenever you need it Heart

Re: Just checking in.

@CheerBear, just caught up with the latest messages here. So sorry this has happened. May still be awake if you are up early again and want to chat. Otherwise, the gentlest feelings your way for this day. Heart

Re: Just checking in.

I was wondering whether you might be up @Mazarita. I'm about to make myself a cup of tea and have a look at the night sky.

Re: Just checking in.

Here when you are back from sky watching, @CheerBearHeart

Re: Just checking in.

I've taken you with me sky watching @Mazarita 😊 It's silent tonight out here. Just the sound of insects around. There is a blanket of cloud up high so no stars to see tonight. It is quite lovely sitting in the stillness of it all though.

Re: Just checking in.

Lovely to share it with you, @CheerBearWoman Happy

Cloudy here too, no stars. Earlier, some night birds were singing loudly, maybe owls. Not sure what bird they are really, but I hear them a lot lately in the night. Quiet now though. Only a short burst of wind a while ago, now all is still, except for the sound of the overhead fan in here, the low buzz of my computer, and my fingers on the keyboard.

Re: Just checking in.

How lovely with the owls @Mazarita ❤ I like the sound of tapping at a keyboard. I struggled to learn to type at school at couldn't ever touch type. I dont know what it was but I just couldn't do it. I was worried about it when I started uni many years after school and about how long it would take me to type up big assignments (or anything really). It was one of those things that I pushed through with and got there in the end and now the sound of the keyboard is one I really enjoy 🙂

How has your night been?

Re: Just checking in.

Your mention of typing might be a bit of a diversion tonight, @CheerBear. It's a subject I'm strangely passionate about! I am a self-taught typist, partly out of always liking keyboards in general, including pianos, though I only ever played them in the most basic way. I remember a big old Remington typewriter my aunt had when I was a child. I used to like to play on it, pretending I was fast and good at it. I actually fantasised about being a secretary when I was a child! This may be the exact typewriter I played on as a child...

The last years of trying to work regular jobs in my life were all word processing jobs, the last one for corporate lawyers. My speed got up to about 80wpm.

My night has been okay. I've only had about two hours sleep so far, which is how it's been for the past week, maybe longer.

How are you? Really feeling for what you are having to endure at this time. Heart

Re: Just checking in.

I can imagine you doing that @Mazarita! One of my high schools was way behind the times, though high school was now also quite a while ago for me. We still had girls and boys separated for home economics and wood/metal work. One of the class rooms was full of typewriters and we were supposed to learn to type on them as part of IT class. We had to try and keep up with what the teacher was saying and type without errors, something easy to see on a typewriter as youd know. I remember feeling almost frozen with anxiety about it all. The school was a really dodgy one, but I did get to experience a taste of what school would have been like for people a bit older than me because of it's lack of keeping up with the times! Will be interested in seeing the image when it is up 🙂

Two hours isn't much sleep. Hope you have some more if you need it.

Thanks for the thoughts ❤. This time has been challenging. I'm OK physically tonight. This medication is pretty unpredictable and I have no real side effects so far except some (a word I can't use here - will say "signs that this is working") which is what I needed to see. If that's all that happens I will be thankful and lucky. The other night it was hardcore cramping, chills, dizzy, vomiting, shakes etc for a few hours. Crossing everything this has worked properly this time with the bonus of it being much easier than expected. Emotionally I'm pretty spent, but that's OK too.

Any plans/wants for the day today? Is art group on?
