@Oaktree ... Dumplings and Chinese New Year

Makes me think of Kung Fu Panda.... maybe a Poh or one of the other characters will be my choice!

No, your dumplings are cute!!! @fruitisgood  Cute as! I haven't even got to it yet 🙂

Re: Art Club

Both be cute? 😄

awe thankyou 🥹 It was fun! I wasn't a fan of the one getting nabbed by the chopsticks so pizza party it is.

I'm excited to see others. I enjoyed looking at all the past little drawings.

@Oaktree Viper - Chinese New YearViper - Chinese New Year

Since the Chinese New Year is that of the SNAKE, I have chosen Viper out of the Kung Fu Panda movies!

Re: Art Club

Here is my dumplings, please be gentle with me. My lines are far from perfect as I can't stop shaking at the moment. I had to crawl to my table to get my drawing things but I wanted to do something.

Re: Art Club

@Oaktree awww i hope the day was at least ok for you. Shaking is horrible, this is my entire body both inside and out, it's like I can feel my organs shaking.

Re: Art Club

I just want to say, upon a bit more reflection over the past day, this thread has genuinely got me feeling invigorated in a way I haven't felt in a long while.

I used to love drawing, and I thought I got pretty good at it (although I'd never dare think that of myself at that time), and when life took a big ol swing, my hobbies were some of the first things to fall off the horse, including drawing.

Art block had entered the chat.

They're just kids drawings videos, yet I spent half the day excitedly trying out different mediums (because I had a massive pile of mystery supplies to try out), and felt very accomplished by the end of it.

I also have never really historically gone for simplistic drawing before but there's a real art to it and I genuinely found it challenging in a fun and unexpected way.

It also reminded me that I can feel grief for what was, accept that I am no longer there (the past), and be excited and embrace something new.

So yeah. This thread is a cute idea and rules.

@Glisten

Your drawing is wonderful!!! Cant see any signs of your shaking in it.

@fruitisgood

I am so happy that this simple art club has reignited your passion. That’s so exciting. Well done for taking the leap into being creative again. I know that after not having done any art for a while that that could feel really daunting.
