Yesterday I started a new medication prescribed the the psychiatrist, I after I few hours I felt like I could feel it working and I got really excited. I started getting really hopeful and thankful. Then I slept really badly and woke up with a headache, I didn’t go to work and felt sort of aimless and lazy all day. I had expected to feel way better. I know it has only been one day and I need to be patient… I guess I just feel like there’s so much riding on this medication. And I feel anxious about it.
also… my Aunty who is a flashy personal trainer and body building model and my cousin who is a really preppy cool girl dropped over tonight and I just didn’t have the skills to handle it… the social side and hearing about all there ‘how great is my life’ stories… they are lovely but it was just not a great way to end the day… 😵💫

Hey @Christheart great that you have some new medication that you feel hopeful about, but give it time, sometimes it can take weeks for it to do what it is suppose to…. I think you probably know that, your smart! Be patient with yourself, you may experience side effects too.
it can be hard to hear how good other people have it, and I have no doubt it would of been even hard given you have just started new meds and are probably a little out of sorts.
take it easy my friend 💕

@Bow Apparently insomnia and anxiety have been side effects for some people who didn’t feel like this medication helped, but other say it saved their lives, I’m so scared it’s not going to work for me, and I have felt really panicky tonight in a way I don’t usually. Sleep is such an important way for me to manage depression and if I can’t sleep I’m really scared what will happen. I don’t know what to do or where to go to get relief, I was laying in bed watching a show and felt so lonely and anxious so I went and saw my mum but she was making me anxious I just can’t go anywhere for relief
i don’t know what to do

@Bow Gosh, that was rough. I'm feeling a lot better today. I was talking to a friend and she prompted me to do some exercises and breathing which really helped, my night time anxiety meds really helped as well. I think I was also reading way to many reviews of the medication from other people online and getting myself worked up. My experience is going to be unique to me so I just need to follow the doctors orders and be patient.
I'm sorry I was so exasperated on here!
But thank you for being available and empathetic @Bow ... ❤

@Bow @tyme I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm travelling really well. Yesterday I enjoyed music, had a dance and drew a picture. It was a miracle, I enjoyed something. By the Grace of God I think I'm going to recover. I think my new medication is going to be well suited to me. Thank you both for supporting me so much. I'll share my picture. Xx
