Re: Our coping toolbox 🧰
Sounds interesting @Delicatessen , in the US at least libertarians and socialists are often at opposite ends of the political spectrum

Re: Our coping toolbox 🧰
Hi @Shaz51 @TuxedoCat @Delicatessen @Dimity @LooneyToones @hanami @Paperdaisy @tyme @Appleblossom and all forumites here. Thanks for sharing your ideas for the coping toolbox!
@Shaz51 I really enjoyed the images you shared! Great ideas!
As for me, tonight I decided to add a new item to my toolkit in the form of knitting up a ball of soft yarn to make a length so I could touch and feel it to ground myself when things get tough. I used a wool called Teddy from Lincraft that I had in my box and used 5mm knitting needles with 20 stitches to knit the length which was around 50cm in the end to make up the item so I could have it near me if I got stressed or distressed. See below for the photo of the item. I hope you like it!
Take care!
Judi9877☺️💐🧶

Re: Our coping toolbox 🧰
Aaachh! Political spectrums can spread in different ways depending on the criteria. @Dimity
@Delicatessen I enjoyed the Mary Shelley biopic on SBS with a peek at her father. He is probably worth a good look.
I am happy to keep my cross stitch as a thing of the past.
Coping tools are reading, understanding the world ... at least a bit!
Looking at my old books on Shiatzu and Chakras today.
Find it interesting how attitudes to things change.

Re: Our coping toolbox 🧰
I’ve been taking solace in loads of cooking. Went out and bought cod, trout, snapper, prawns and salmon and froze most of it so that I’ve pretty got everything I want is right there when I’m inclined to cook.
Last week I made lentil, corn and potato gumbo that blew me away.
And today I became over the moon when I saw some blood oranges on sale. Sooo, I will just have to make that bundt cake!!
