Hello friends ๐Ÿฉท

I've just joined the forum/ the guided program today. I'm usually not very active in forums etc but intend to make an effort in an attempt to not isolate myself further lol.

I struggle with a number of MH conditions, but considered "high functioning" by most people I know, and no idea how to articulate myself irl, so iykyk - I have felt on my own with this for a very very long time.

At the moment I'm having a lot of trouble with dissociation/ maladaptive daydreaming, to the point where I will put on TV to entertain my son so I can be "elsewhere" in my mind. I'm generally one of those annoying no screentime people too, so if you knew me you'd be ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

I feel like I've lost my whole life so far to dissociation, including my son's life which is the saddest part, and it's really the driver in me being here and hopefully learning to be present in this actual reality, not the ones in my head.

If anyone has or does experienced this, I'd love to connect and chat and maybe feel a little less alone in this.

I also have possibly the worst sense of humor and laugh at all the wrong moments - a common coping mechanism perhaps? ๐Ÿ˜…

Anyway - sorry about the rant. Hope to ramble at you all again soon x
