It's hard to change that mindset. 

Yeah, the cake was good. I also made a chocolate chip banana bread last week. It was very yummy. @Snowie 

The golf was good @ArraDreaming 

Dad did the best he got 200m I didn't do too badly seeing I hadn't played in a very long time. Mum wasn't very good.
