Haha @Snowie My psych bought a plant for her office. She is much like you but she chose well (by accident lol). She asked me today what I thought and I said she could not have gotten a better plant as they are hard to destroy. She seemed pretty happy with that. You have just reminded me I need to go into work Monday to water our plants. The cleaner usually does that for me in the holidays but she has been off sick for sometime so they will be left alone.
I don't want Dad to do much - he is in his 70s and not able to do what he used to. If we can get down far enough to find the drainage connection then I can do the rest. It is a slow process though because I am sure it is one of the old concrete ones and no doubt pretty buggered so it is a lot of feeling around and slowly, slowly digging to find what are rocks and what is clay (yes I have gotten that deep I have found clay). The water that is in the hole is actually helping to soften the clay so silver linings 👍
