TSUNAMI WARNING HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR NEW SOUTH WALES.

 

SUMMARY:
A tsunami was generated by the eruption of HUNGA TONGA-HUNGA HA'APAI near TONGA ISLANDS.

The main tsunami waves have now passed all expected NEW SOUTH WALES locations.

Small unusual waves may continue but are NO LONGER expected to be dangerous,
however a Hazardous Surf Warning remains in effect due Ex-TC Cody for the Byron
Coast, Coffs Coast, Macquarie Coast, Hunter Coast, Sydney Coast and Illawarra
Coast.

TSUNAMI WARNINGS for NEW SOUTH WALES are therefore CANCELLED.

No further updates will be issued unless the situation changes.

NEW SOUTH WALES STATE EMERGENCY SERVICE will advise
the All Clear when it's safe to return to coastal areas.
