Hi Coin Fans and @Mustang67 wow, that’s a mouthful for a magnifier but at 1000x I garner it was powerful. The micro world is incredible…I just dive down a rabbit hole in it and can lose time : ) It’s a lovely gentle little hobby. Cool to start setting up your primary collection - I’ve just spent a bit of time doing that and it’s interesting which years are have excess and which years have none : ) kinda telling in itself. But helps to know what I’m looking for now and when something truly special pops up. I’ve only been collecting for about a year and probably have about 100 coins all up.

I would like to start a series folder and an error folder. But in case I have a stroke or something I think it makes sense to write what the errors are and attach with the coin so I am beginning to like the cardboard with staples option - just have to find out what plastic they use either side. It’s probably a pretty achievable next mission : )

Photographing my coins is embarrassingly low tech. It involves a magnifying glass between my phone camera and the coin…I move it back and forth and am glad there’s no one watching me with my neck cranked, holding my breath and trying to get the right angle lol. Your way sounds more comfortable and civilised : )

Which coins are people thinking of entering the ballot for tmrw?
