Have your say: Help us review media content for national campaign
SANE Australia is currently conducting a national campaign that is aiming to raise awareness of mental illness and the SANE Forums with a particular focus on rural, remote and regional areas around Australia. We've been working with media agency to develop media content based on the real experiences of people who live with mental illness.
If you live in remote, rural or regional Australia and/or if you have a experience living with mental illness, we're keen to hear what your thoughts are about this video content. This is to ensure that the content that we publish on both television and online are relevant to our target audience – people who live with mental illness in remote, rural, regional areas. This discussion will take place in a hidden part of the SANE Forums between June 17 until June 21. The video content will be made accessible via this part of the Forums. If you'd like participate, you will be asked to answer three questions:
1.) In what ways could you relate to the stories in the video?
2.) Did you find anything jarring. If so, what?
3. ) What types of emotional responses did the video illicit?
It is estimated that participation will require approximately 30mins to an hour. The information that you provided will be completely anonymous. This information will be used by the media and agency, where possible, to adjust and edit the media content to make it more appropriate and relevant for people living with mental illness living in rural, regional and remote places.
If you are interested in participating, please let me know by emailing team@saneforums.org and title your email 'peer review' and I will then forward you more information and details about how to access the discussion. Please note, we only need small amount of people, about 5. People will be selected based on their location to ensure that we get an even spread of different locations.
Hope to hear from you!
