Not Coping

Re: Not Coping

Thanks @Birdofparadise8 🙂🌺

I have a multitude of health challenges that aren’t worth the labels they’re granted hehe 😉

In other words, I do my best to not give them too much value over and above myself and what’s important to me: who’s driving, is it me, or am I a slave to diseases? 🙌🏻😉

Having said that, I have peripheral neuropathy, and immune disease, both stemming from a naughty cell line in my bone marrow 🙂💜

It’s ok - I don’t give it the importance it petulantly desires! 🙂

Nice - sounds like an interesting variety of stuff you like to do 💜🙂🌺

yes, sometimes it’s hard to get together and hang out - I’ve noticed that is more prevalent a problem in recent years, too. It’s almost like the rhythm of social interactions was tripped up with isolations around the pandemic 💜

sure, I’m old: 51 🤭🙌🏻

It’s a privilege to chat with you - I hope my ancientness hasn’t put you off 😉🌺🙂

Re: Not Coping

Hahah nah it's good. My mum is 56 @Former-Member

I would talk to her about any of this.

That's fair enough. I hope it's not too challenging.

Have you ever been in SVT before?

Did you think I was 20? Or younger or older?

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 me too! As I said to you before I often think about you and others I've connected with and hope and pray you're doing okay.

I'm also feeling heaps better today. I had a weird dream where I was shopping with my brother at his supermarket and I kept saying "don't forget the bananas!"

And according to the dream dictionary dreaming of bananas actually means positive things, that you are feeling optimistic.

And here I was thinking I was craving bananas! 🤣

Re: Not Coping

Wait, what's a dream dictionary?

I love bananas. They are a great snack. @ENKELI

Re: Not Coping

I'm not going to my tut class now. So I'll be here if that's okay @ENKELI

@Former-Member

It's only on the experiment we did on Monday. Did either of you see those photos I posted? It was so much fun. I can go into a bit of detail if you want to hear about them.

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 no problem about not going to tut.

I bought a book called Dictionary of Dreams about 100 years ago and every now and then I still dig it out for a giggle. I don't follow new age beliefs as you know but I was glad to hear bananas were a positive thing! They are my favourite fruit, along with grapes. Yum, I should have bought some grapes when I went to Coles.

I cheated and bought a pizza for dinner, it was marked down and I walked past it 3 times until I finally grabbed it. It's a brand my brother loves so he'll be happy. His idea of cooking is turning the oven on and putting the food in to heat!

I enjoy cooking normally, I'm hoping once this new medication kicks in I'll get back into cooking again.

Experiment? I missed out! Tell all! Show pics! I want to see!!!!

Re: Not Coping

I posted it yesterday @ENKELI

Pizza sounds yummy. I'm having chicken schnitzel again.

Any dessert?

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 I'll go check it out and get back to you.

Chicken schnitzel, yum. Not sure about dessert. I have ice cream and I could make up jelly but otherwise probably nothing.

I'm not young and slim like you, have to watch the weight!! Lol!

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 🌺🙂

ok, from the last:

I thought you were between 18-25, based on your delightful curiosity and contextual use of language.. I used to be a teacher, with students of many ages (I taught at tafe), and learned to take note of many different writing styles, which tended to differ across the generations 🙂🌺

I’m guessing you could see I’m of a much older generation hehe 🤭

SVT = supraventricular tachycardia? 🙂 no, I have bradycardia🌺

These things with being old aren’t too challenging, I’ve been in worse states of health and I focus on the function I have instead of the illness, which helps when things aren’t working as expected 🙂🌺

I was the recipient of an acquired brain injury when I was 28, which changed my brain pretty significantly, and I had to relearn many things, but the hardest was, relearning..who I was.. if you’re ever interested, I can sensitively give you the highlights reel anytime 🙂🌺

Your mum and I are the same generation 🙌🏻🙂🌺

it’s nice you can speak with her 💜🙂🌺 that warms my heart to know ☺️🌺

Re: Not Coping

Lol, I'm not slim either @ENKELI

What's your favourite ice cream?

I like chocolate, mint, and vanilla.
