Not Coping

Re: Not Coping

Well done on having a go @Birdofparadise8

I'm proud of you regardless of the outcome 👏

Re: Not Coping

Do you have a low immune system? I feel like whenever we talk, you're sick. Not saying that in a way to be rude btw.

Do you take pre and probiotics or a multivitamin? They might help.

Fair enough. I do hope you rest up okay.

Mmm, tomorrow. Depends on what I do tonight. I'll let you know shortly. @creative_writer

Re: Not Coping

Thanks @Blackbird11

How was your evening class at the RHH?

I worked for them before I left for Vic it was five years. Gosh, I would go back there. So much better than over here.

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8, I went back to uni on Wednesday, but I did get unwell again last week. I am taking probiotics, vit c and d, and migraine supplements. I think I’ve been unlucky. Are you doing much this evening?

Re: Not Coping

Ah okay @creative_writer

im just going to pricline and kmart to get a couple things. Spending more money hahaha.

Re: Not Coping

Hey @Birdofparadise8 ,

Your psych session sounded very promising! As soon as I heard his approach, I was quite impressed.

Honestly, I don't think it'll be easy, but it's worthwhile. I think it'll have more lasting impact than any medication at this point (btw, I'm not saying don't take meds).

Good on your for being open to the psych. I like how he is supporting you to notice, notice and notice. It is similar to things I have discussed with you, but those face to face sessions will be so much more effective. You can even practice strategies with him such as the deep/mindful breathing.

As for your exam, well done. It's been so hard for you recently, and you still manage. That's a huge effort.

As for Taylor Swift....um...not really. It's not really my cup of tea. I'm not so much into music etc. as I find I'm quite sensitive to sound. I don't find 'music' or TV soothing at all. I find I get more distressed. So it's not that Taylor Swift isn't good... it's just not for me 🙂

Did you have a job interview? If so, I hope it went well.

You are on a good path @Birdofparadise8 - stick to it though it may be hard.

Re: Not Coping

Just my luck, the pricePriceline I went to change their hours to shut at 7 and, not 9 @creative_writer

Re: Not Coping

Thank you @tyme

I think he will be good. I've booked to Feb, hahaha. I wanted a particular time, and he only sees clients three days a week, and I'm busy the other two. So I need to get the right time.
What, oh, okay. Gosh, I love listening to music its so fun. I am listening to her new 1989 album. I have been since it came out. So so good. I can't wait for the tour in Feb. You wouldn't believe it. I was going to see a new artist, David Kushner, and he cancelled the show the other day.
The interview is on Wednesday. I'm so nervous.

Why do you get more distressed with sound?

Re: Not Coping

Well done! That's like me. I used to book 6-8 sessions in advance. It's easier to cancel than to book. Your time has come to find a suitable therapist. I'm so pleased for you. I know how long I had to wait.

As for sound and music, I can't explain what happens inside of me. It's like I bubble up, bubble up, bubble up and then explode. I don't know how to explain the feeling. Hence I don't even watch TV with the sound up. @Birdofparadise8  - we are all different. And that's okay 🙂 People learn to function in the ways that work for them.

All the best with your interview on Wed!

Re: Not Coping

I have weekly sessions @tyme

So I've booked a lot in hahaha.

Right okay.

What are you doing tomorrow?
