mum arrived home this morning! I gave her the biggest hug.
we have had a fairly busy day. Doing last minute things for market. Gave D the opportunity to have the day off school as we needed to leave at 12:45 to head to market. But she wanted to go for a few hours cause she had a spelling test she wanted to do!!
It’s been raining on and off all day here. We set up the marquee in the rain and they wouldn’t let us drive vehicles on the grass so we had to lug everything from the car park to where our allocated spot was. We were wet from the rain and hot and sweaty as well.
I had to go back home and get something we forgot, so I threw my tshirt in the dryer for 10mins.
people keep wanting to buy my Christmas bunting!!
can’t wait to turn all our fairy lights on!

So glad to hear that your mum is home @Bow
Hopefully that helps a little with her support.
Sounds like you have had a very busy day today. The market set up looks great! I hope the rain doesn't get too bad and you have lots of people at the market.
Hopefully you can have a bit of a sleep in tomorrow!

ohhh yep, i forget how much driving is involved in attending all the appointments!
@Snowie i can see why you'd prefer the weekdays, maybe going early in the morning might help beat some of the weekend crowd? the black friday sales might be good to catch if you feel up for it. if not, there's always online sales - has your mum shopped online before?

She sometimes shops on line @rav3n
With her Alzheimer's however she cant remember how to pay unless I do it for her.
I also worry about her using her credit card on dodgy sites.

😴😴 wow so tired today. We managed to pack up and be out of there in about an hour. And thankfully the rain held off during back up, but have just finished hanging up our marquee roof and walls so they dry out.
It wasn’t the best market sales wise, but lots of interest.
I had one gentleman, youngish, looking at my art with his wife, making comments like… oh that’s so simple but so nice, would never of thought of that, that one’s really nice. But then I hear him say they are so expensive. Rude.
It took me a couple of hours to unwind and get to sleep, so lots of tossing and turning and I thankfully slept in, but I am still very tired and I’m sore.
it’s advent calendar night tonight and I’ve done nothing! We use a fabric calendar and fill the pockets with goodies, Urgh. And it’s elf night!
I snapped one photo of the fair lights, not the best pic though

No @tyme set up was in the afternoon. Market started at 3pm. We packed up in the dark. It finished at 9pm and we had to be packed up and out by 10! Thankfully it doesn’t take as long to pack up. We had some pretty good battery operated lights from bunnings, plus our pretty fairy lights.
it was funny…. The cicadas and frogs like literally turned on all at the same time all at once. It was reasonable quiet, just people quietly chattering and carols playing and then bang…. All those noises started! On pack up we found a little frog had some how jumped in one of our crates.
how are you @tyme whatcha up to?
im still heaps tired, but am sitting on the bed watching survivor and doing my D’s advent calendar.

Oh! @Bow ,
It was yesterday! I thought today!
Sorry, I must've skimmed your post. I remember you saying you were picking D up because she WANTED to do a spelling test lol.
How were the sales?
I'm not really up to much. After I hop off here, I'm going to do some reading. @PeppyPatti recommended a book, and I've been reading it and just want to finish it!
My niece has been sleeping in my bed all week. The rule was that she could only sleep with me on weekends... but I'm too soft.
So this morning, at 5:30, she wakes up and wants to listen to an audiobook. In my half-sleepy head, I said "No, not before school"... then she says "Aunty.... you know there's no school today. It's the weekend"....
Arghhhh... my brain.
