Re: Help

Hi OG @oceangirl
Thanks

Bike ride helped I think.

But yeah just a hard time. I need to learn to stop catastrophising. I remember once you mentioned on here that you sometimes found that you would think of situations where had things happen to good people. But that you wouldn't actually know these people. It was like a misplaced empathy thing. I'm not sure if you remember it. But yeah its been happening a lot.

Re: Help

Your welcome @MDT

Glad getting out on your bike helped- what type of bike do you have?

Yes I do remember. Just came home, I went out for a quick drive and got money out of the ATM.

Re: Help

Morning all

Today I posted pined a chat with my friend in the US.

I had a week from hell. Its a rough time lately. While I'd normally be happy to speak to this friend insimply can't today because he has got a job in his field and is moving to another part of the US. I am happy for him. However I can't hear it or talk about it today as there is too much on my mind about my world and my failure or challenges or story or whatever it's called.

I find that other people's success can be draining on me because I have to look myself. Idk what I'm doing and idk what to do to fix it.

Its depressing. Feel so stupid.

I'm 28 next week for goodness sake.

@oceangirl @TAB @Shaz51 @BlueBay @Appleblossom whoever else is following me thse days.

Its times like this where I feel like just throwing the towel in on any hope of getting anywhere in life.

Re: Help

Hams , try not to compare yourself to others, just do what you can and accept you are doing what you can. Take it easy on yourself. Maybe time for some volunteering or something to keep your mind off things.  I'm 59 in couple weeks. No kids . Never married. no real serious relationships. no house, no real possessions, ok old 2nd hand tv, and 16 year old car lol

Car is well looked after and I enjoy watching the tv . Perspective @MDT  Cat Happy

Re: Help

yes, talking a good idea, not sure if parents the best people to talk to, that's your call. Anytime I got advice from parents was useless lol @MDT  they are from a different time and doubt they can understand your situation
