Re: Nature as a healer

I'm getting things sprouting. Got to fill more garden planters with soil next week @Shaz51. But it seems to be coming up!  Had a rain deluge over the weekend so the soil is damp but will water it this evening. Its starting to get interesting... Getting involved with seed swaps.  Same old birdlife around the place in the neighborhood 😊

Re: Nature as a healer

Haven’t spent much time outside in recent weeks. Covid and all the rain we had here kept me inside. Currently sitting outside now, need to tend to my plants. And looking at all the weeds that have popped up between the pavers cause Of all the rain.

i think I’m slowly figuring out my begonias and how to care for them.

but I will share this photo. It’s a queen of the night flower. Usually only come out in bloom for just one night and then it dies. But this one was still in bloom in the morning. Not sure I’ve ever really seen it in flower before.

Aww, @Former-Member , you live by the sea? You're so lucky! I haven't seen the sea for decades. 😞

Oh how magnificent @Bow! 🌼 😍
Thanks for letting us see this beauty!
And to have caught it before it closes/dies as well being 'queen of the night'. How interesting.

Yes, at the moment I live rather close to the sea & feel very grateful as I know that won't likely be for maybe too much longer. I am rather connected to the element water & have found living close to it really supportive.
How far would the closest body of water be to you @NatureLover?

@Former-Member  Only about an hour and 15 minutes' drive away, but I have agoraphobia. It is moderate, which means I can leave the house, but I can't go far (15 minutes' drive, preferably) and I can't stay out long.

Oh - I was thinking you meant the sea, but you said "body of water"...there is a lake locally I could go to, but I find the sea magical, which lakes aren't (to me).

I'm so glad you have the sea nearby at the moment. I'm sorry to hear you may have to move away from the sea in future...I hope not too far, so you can still go and visit it.
