I think that this is an important discussion, though I am sorry that it has not been good for you @Nohope.
I am beginning to think that a lot of psychologists .. dont have a very deep bag of tricks .. or modlities to draw from ... or dont have a deep enough capacity for empathy ...
This palming off can happen a lot ... or what is even worse .. which is what I did with a few of psychs ... was to perservere at my own COST ... both financially and psychologically .. which is why I am a bit more fussy and cagey now ... and openly talk about ... the need for checks and balances on the system ...
if a person is going to get my signature for easy medicare rebates .. they better be coughing up the goods ...
a rude medical recetionist last month ... got my goat .. by a knowing dig ... which I will need to discuss with her employing practitioner ... cos I am getting long in the tooth .. not taking S**t from anyone ... and yes
@Sahara I know a lovely girl who searched bins for food in order to travel through Europe ... not me ... I was wised up to the need to budget for my rice and potatoes .. but my dad did ... to mother's disgust ... and now ... I say go the homeless guys ... do it with some dignity ...
The FIRE in the BELLY is important to keep stoked .. but not so much we let the CORTISOL do us damage.
