Something’s not right

Not Coping

Re: Tw Not Coping

I never said people have to do anything for me though @tyme.

I'm trying my best to just get through each hour at this rate.

Re: Tw Not Coping

It's not about saying people have to do things for you @Birdofparadise8 . It's more about not being able to believe in yourself that you CAN do it, and that instead, you need to lean on someone/something/a group of people in order to survive.

For now, it's okay to rely on services and people until that crunch time comes and you are willing and able to stand on your own.

Take your time. Don't rush it.

We acknowledge you are doing everything you can. If it means you surviving by the hour, then so be it 🙂

We believe in you.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Okay, well, I definitely don't believe in things right now, @tyme

My psychologist is holding hope for me with my psychiatry appointment on Wednesday, as I don't even see the point in going. I don't see how it's going to change anything that I don't already know.

I've literally been talking to KHL every day since Tuesday foe safety check-in and stuff.

Did I tell you about the police?

Re: Tw Not Coping

I believe the police phoned you @Birdofparadise8 ? - if I remember correctly.

Better than them turning up unexpected and taking you to the hospital... now THAT's not nice.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Yeah, that was bad enough @tyme

They didn't know where I lived, so that is the only reason they didn't come here.

Also, someone who calls the police is supposed to let you know before they are called. I didn't know an MH professional was calling them.

Re: Tw Not Coping

They can track exactly where you are by your phone call @Birdofparadise8  - they don't need your address.

As for the MH service, I'm not sure they have to tell. I was never told when the services were called for me.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Oh yeah, that's true. I asked the officer, and he knew where I worked I asked him if he had my address and he said no and I was surprised, but as I said I was fine he wasn't too concerned. To be honest, I only said what he wanted to hear as I was going to work and didn't want people to worry about me @tyme

Well I think I should have been included as you work for SANE do you let the person know?

SANE was the one who called the police on me through the GS.

Re: Tw Not Coping

I'm not sure whether the person has to be told @Birdofparadise8 . If someone is at imminent risk, we don't wait to tell them that we have contacted the police. It's usually, "no, don't call the police. I'll be fine". But duty of care means we are mandated to contact them.

Re: Tw Not Coping

True, I probably would have said that, @tyme

I wasn't, though, so I don't know why they called in the first place, or at least I don't belive I was or am.

Re: Tw Not Coping

I can't say. I don't know what happened @Birdofparadise8  - I'm just glad you are okay.

I can see you are making progress and I really think your independence will allow things to get worse so they can get better.

I have faith in you.
