Re: Tw Not Coping

I may have mentioned it some time ago, but physical touch releases oxytocin which is our body's own feel good  anti anxiety chemical...

Re: Tw Not Coping

Yeah just being near someone would be nice @creative_writer. Mmm I'm not sure. I guess you would know best if you were safe around someone.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Well, that would be helpful then @Kyle1

Re: Tw Not Coping

Like, I get from family all the time but feel so touched deprived, it’s so weird. Don’t know what’s up with my oxytocin @Kyle1 and @Birdofparadise8. There is this expectation you’re supposed to feel better with hugs, but it’s just not working adequately for me. It’s painful. It’s just how it is.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Mmm that would be hard @creative_writer. I don't have my parents to hug me anymore I'm all on my own. The only hug I get is from my aunt once a week.

I've been thinking if I want to try relaxation massage, or foot massage at least. But then I'm worried it might dredge up further emotion... have you guys tried something like that before? ...

Re: Tw Not Coping

OMG massages are the most relaxing thing ever @Kyle1

@Birdofparadise8 🫂

@Kyle1, the most I’ve ever been is to the physio for migraines, she massaged by neck and upper back, didn’t really have a much of a long term effect for migraines, so pretty much gave up.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Full body massage is even better. You both should try one @creative_writer @Paperdaisy

You might even get some back from private health if you get a remedial one.
