Something’s not right

Not Coping

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 sorry honey, I got caught up talking to my brother and getting ingredients for dinner. Very slack, chicken tonight with fresh veg thrown in and rice.

Then I decided while I'm in a good frame of mind I'll do the red velvet muffins.

I'm sorry you're feeling sad, it gets so tiring doesn't it? Like, really, just ONE day I'd like to feel something other than sad. Something positive for a change.

Does being on the forum help you even just a little bit?

Re: Not Coping

All good @ENKELI

Very tiring.

Yes, it's where I get my main source of connection and where I'm able to be myself.

I don't have many people to talk about MH stuff in my personal life. Like a few people, but I won't be able to talk as often as I am on here.

Re: Not Coping

that's good to hear @Birdofparadise8.
I'm the same, I feel more comfortable sharing on here than with my friends and family.
My oldest friend I can talk to but I prefer to keep it to a minimum so as not to bog her down with my stuff.

The other thing about the forums is that I think about everyone I've interacted with and while I have my quiet time I reflect on y'all and say prayers for everyone.

Question, what are chiemade chips? Your dinner sounded yummy.

Re: Not Coping

Yeah, I just hope I'm not too needy and take up people time @ENKELI

Aww that's so sweet at least you know my name hahaha. Even more meaningful.

Did I write chiemade chips?

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 lol yes you did! I wasn't sure if it was a particular way of cooking chips or if it was different ingredients.

If you're on your phone and typing I completely understand  typos, my fat fingers always hit the wrong letter and I am really picky with my grammar and spelling (I was always top of my class in English) so I have to go back and recheck it. This is the only reason you won't see typos in my posts, part of my mind tells me it doesn't look right and to change it. I can't blame it on my MH though, I've always been annoying when it comes to spelling and grammar!

Is there anything you feel you want to talk about tonight?
Don't ever think you are needy or taking up peoples' time. That's what these forums are for 😍

Re: Not Coping

It was a typo, lol. I should have written homemade chips @ENKELI

I don't know. I'm open to talking.

Thanks @ENKELI. It's just how I feel sometimes.

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 what a great typo it was too, high 5! Lol!

I'm doing dinner but I'm not hungry myself so I'm just going to wait until later and eat then.

As the kind and compassionate person you are, you will have feelings of being a burden but trust me, you're not.

What's the new book like?

Re: Not Coping

Ah, okay fair enough @ENKELI

Here is the banana bread recipe. The chocolate chips went to the bottom though. Do you know why that would be?

Thank you @ENKELI

Good so I've read the prequal that one night and now I've started picking around both by Emily Rath.

The first one was about 70 pages and about a one-night stand. Then it will go into more detail how they meet again. My 15-year-old cousin has read it.

Oh, one thing. I know your religious but what about with sex and reading stuff that has sex in it?

I don't want to talk about it if you're not comfortable. I hope you don't mind me asking.

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8

You can ask me anything! I am a Christian yes, and spicy books aren't exactly on the books to read list but I have read spicy books. I even read the 50 Shades trilogy.

For me, I prefer to read Christian books and listen to Christian music, but I still listen to secular (non Christian related) music and read books of all genres. Most of my favourite authors aren't Christian, I used to read Jodi Picoult until her characters annoyed me. Now I read Lee Child, Michael Connelly and anything about true crime as well as Christian authors.

The spice in a book or movie doesn't affect me physically if you get my meaning but I'll read it if it's integral to the storyline.

The only thing I draw the line at is excessive profanity or the use of Jesus as an expletive. If I start a book and it has a lot of unnecessary swearing or the use of Jesus' name I usually will read a little more to see if it improves and if it doesn't I will stop reading it.

For me being Christian just means I have faith in where I'm going and knowing in my heart and soul that God loves and cares for me. I still question God and ask why He put me in these situations and sometimes He answers me but most times He doesn't. Which I think is very rude! Lol.

Also I won't follow anything to do with New Age healing like crystals, reiki, psychics or sage burning etc.

Hope that makes sense and helps you understand a little bit more. Again I've probably overdone it in my explanation!

Re: Not Coping

All good @ENKELI

I'm catholic, but also not that Catholic.

Oh wow, really. I don't even know how that's possible.

Oh, I agree with the Jesus part. I don't like that either, not even in my personal life.

I'm very tired, so I had better go to bed. Have a good night.
