Re: Tw Not Coping

Why do you say supposed to be fine? Are you actually fine or just saying that @creative_writer

I just had a GP appointment which was alright. She won’t put me on another medication yet she just wants to wait and see and to wait till I see my psychiatrist which isn’t for six weeks.

I have to go get an ultrasound on my pelvis I told her how bad my period was last month and she said it would be a good idea just to get it check incase.

Did I say something last night?

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8, sorry, I didn't mean to be passive-aggressive. I'm just tired of lots of things, it was not directed towards you.

I hope the pdoc appointment will help, getting the right med balance can be tricky, but it is possible. I hope the ultrasound comes back okay, it is always good to get things checked out

Re: Tw Not Coping

That’s okay don’t worry about it.

What’s up @creative_writer

Well it’s not till the 14th of August so I’ll just have to manage till then.

I have to drink a liter of water an hour before and not go to the toilet that’s going to be fun.

Have you ever had a pelvic ultrasound before?

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8, my physical health and mental health haven’t been great and it’s affecting my attention span, uni pressure is building up.

I haven’t had pelvic ultrasound, only abdomen. It was okay, better than MRI machines. MRI machines make so much noise. Have you ever gotten a brain MRI, I had the last one years ago, the whole thing was uncomfortable as it was noisy

Re: Tw Not Coping

I know right MRI so loud I was in one for 2 hours for a research study.

It was just a pelvic one but on my abdomen.

I’m sorry @creative_writer do you see any of your supports this week? I do hope things start to turn around for you.

What’s happening with uni?

I got my grades back and I got a Pass, Credit and two distinctions. One of them I was 78 so close to a high distinction.

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8, 2 hours is a long time. I haven’t had an MRI for a long time, I had it as a checkup since I get lots of migraines. I’ve had migraines since I was 16.

I had a peer support worker appointment and will be have a counselling appointment soon too. I am just struggling to concentrate on uni, so much chaos in my mind.

You should be so proud of your grades 👏🏻🎉

Re: Tw Not Coping

Yes, so long, @creative_writer.

Ah, okay, that's a long time to have migraines. Has anyone said why you get them?

Did your appointment go okay? I'm sorry that's happening.

Yes, I'm pretty happy compared to last year, especially with my declining mental health.

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8, migraines are hard to explain. I have certain triggers, but even then it’s hard to control. I am however less likely to get them during a normal mood. I wonder if my brain chemicals are f*cked up. The appointments went okay, I just don’t know how to open up to new people about SA 😭, so wasn’t able to get that out of my system. I keep thinking about the past when I’m meant to be studying. My peer support worker is new since my old one left, and I have a new counsellor.

You should be happy considering everything. You’ve done amazing 😊

Re: Tw Not Coping

Mmm sounds difficult @creative_writer I’ve never had I migraine so I can’t really comment.

I don’t think your brain is fucked up though.

Can I tell you how the dinner went with my aunt and uncle?

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8, how was your dinner?
