Something’s not right

Not Coping

Re: Not Coping

One or two boxes a day @Birdofparadise8 I found outside dining table and chairs at the tip shop

That's good you have been able to potter around. Have you been listening to Taylor Swift?

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8, stimming is a problem when it results in injury. If it doesn’t, then it is a good thing. I reckon twisting your ring is a type of stimming behaviour.

Hi @Jynx, how are you?

Re: Not Coping

No, not today @Blackbird11

What are you doing tonight?

Re: Not Coping

Yeah, you think so @creative_writer

I do it when I'm anxious.

Re: Not Coping

Don't think I'll be doing much @Birdofparadise8 how about you?

Re: Not Coping

Same. Will you be online tonight @Blackbird11?

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8
I’m mindful of not too talking too much about other services and that, you know, rules and stuff BUT.
I thought of something today, you know how you were upset about being booted from RO for a couple of days cause you were asking for help, but you say here is fine. This is how I see it. RO is like prevention and intervention, they try to get the less moderate stuff before it turns more risky, and they just can’t hold risk on their platform, they are trying to support people before that, whereas here is like made FOR more of that complex mental health thing, reach out possibly just aren’t rwuippped to support someone who is already experiencing significant challenges and that’s not on you, just their purpose/role I guess, they kinda freak out when someone presents as experiencing high level distress because it’s not in their scope,

Re: Not Coping

I can be @Birdofparadise8

Re: Not Coping

Yes, it goes from 0 to 100, and then you have a pause. Anyway, I'm back in now, so that's good.

I just need to remember there are younger people there @ArraDreaming

I just find it hard that even though I say I'm safe, I also have to say how I'm going to stay safe if I feel worse in every distressing post. It does get draining having to remember that on top of what I'm already feeling.

Re: Not Coping

Hey @creative_writer not too bad! Thankful for the cool breeze today. Yourself?

Yeah agree on ring twisting being stimming behaviour @Birdofparadise8! There's also stuff like leg bouncing, flappy hands (one o my favs), picking at nails and hair and stuff (another one that can result in injury if done too fiercely), the list goes on!
