Something’s not right

Not Coping

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8, like you want to feel wanted?

Re: Not Coping

it's okay @tyme

Can we move forward

Re: Not Coping

I really don't know. I go from one minute okay, then sad, and then I start crying, and I'm so overwhelmed. @Zoe7

I only mentioned the things I mentioned to @tyme about self-soothing.

Re: Not Coping

Yes, wanted, cared for, thought of @creative_writer

Why is that?

Re: Not Coping

Maybe we can explore some of those things then @Birdofparadise8 to help you get a better idea of what you actually need, what you want and what is realistic?

Re: Not Coping

Sorry, I'm a little confused @Zoe7.

That does sound like a good idea, but I have no clue.

Re: Not Coping

@tyme, you're not annoyed or angry with me, are you?

Re: Not Coping

I will expand a little then @Birdofparadise8

There are things in our lives we Need ie. water, food, shelter, etc.

Then there are things we want ie. those new shoes, to win lotto lol

Then there are things that we can have (the realistic) with what resources/tools we have.

My question then is - what are the things you absolutely need in terms of support ie. someone to listen, someone to help you work on ways to self-soothe as @tyme was talking about, someone to help you work systematically through all the pain - unpack, challenge personal assumptions and develop strategies to help.

The Wants may be constant and consistent support but is that actually realistic? That is more of a statement than question as it is not realistic for any of us to have that support 24/7 - and that is where finding ways to support ourselves comes in.

Re: Not Coping

What makes you feel wanted, cared for? @Birdofparadise8, maybe think about what your needs are

Re: Not Coping

Okay, that all makes sense, but I've never said I want support 24/7. I know that's not realistic, and I can cope on my own @Zoe7

I would say psych for this "systematically through all the pain - unpack, challenge personal assumptions and develop strategies to help".

I guess SANE and KHL "Someone to listen, someone to help you work on ways to self-soothe"
