Is meaningful change possible

Re: Is meaningful change possible

Gee @AlgebraicFury

The public has a lot to answer for.

Its awful what my husband and myself and you and all here have been discrimiated against.....

....sometimes a clean home makes a big difference. I remember a long time ago, about 10 years ago ( seems like yesterday) I walked into a struggling woman's home and offered to clean her home ....we spent the day giggling and I scrubbed out her home, full of vermim. Poor poor lady. She got support later too.

Please don't think I am big noting myself.

Can you think of something nice about yourself in the past week? It could be just making yourself a nice cup of coffee........

Or ; joining Sane Forums. Coming to terms with medication ( thats a big one)

Re: Is meaningful change possible

Maybe the only meaningful change PeppiPatty I could make is reducing my coffee intake. Its something I do to escape life's problems and I have more than the recommended intake.
Got me curious where you live Faith and Hope.I'm sure your daughter is lovely.Feel for you all with the flu.

Hi @Former-Member

How are you this morning ? I'm about to start working on a story Im writing....

I will do anything but do it .......

Letting go of the coffee is a big change......

What have you been doing today?

Re: Is meaningful change possible

Hi PP
It's afternoon where I am,haven't done much today besides housework and nap from reading a book.I need to cut coffee down but yes got no motivation to do it.What kind of story are you writing?

Re: Is meaningful change possible

Currently travelling in Europe @Former-Member ... we have European family.  Normally WA based.

Did the cat image I posted come through yet ?  It shows up to the one who posts an image straight away, but doesn't show up to everyone else until cleared by the mods.

Re: Is meaningful change possible

Envy you!Thought Italy somewhere with old alleyways. The photo did come through. Not a great time to be sick.I would probably last with herbal tea for 2seconds but may have to give it a go.Bet there is beautiful coffee over there.

Re: Is meaningful change possible

Might be easier to exchange rather than reduce re coffee @Former-Member.  Maybe have a herbal tea in place of one of the coffees, then take it up from there.

Re: Is meaningful change possible

Greece, actually, for the main part ....

I have a travel thread going.  Will tag you from there ....

Re: Is meaningful change possible

I think @Faith-and-Hope have the right idea.....go on holidays and relax and just do what you wanna do which is sort out our own feelings on Sane Forums......

One day: When I'M not too lazy @Former-Member..I mght go and reprint some of my messages here and see the journey that I have been on.........

Seriously, ...I say: don't worry about being lazy. Just when your ready, just think about it and when your ready to.....do one thing a day. It even could be very small like say: do the dishes or ....drink a glass of water.

I really like @Faith-and-Hope talking about changing: there is a wonderful advocate called Peter Bullimore who flies around the world advocating for people who suffer times of mentail ill health. He came here to Perth, that was me bawling my eyes out in the audience as he talked about changing our vision on people who suffer times of mental ill health. At the time, I was so so embarrassed, now I can think....that his talking about changing your habits into something else really affected me well.

@Faith-and-Hope......I never would have thought that. Can you tag me too ?
