Re: Help

Hey @Anastasia in the background there

Re: Help

I hear you @MDT

Collecting money is never fun. I used to do it. Purposely smiled when I asked, sometimes it helped. It's hard when people don't listen and flip off what you are saying.

Wishing for a better day ahead for you Hand ✔️🙏

Re: Help

Did someone say PROGRESS!!!

Re: Help

Yeah. Well I guess today is okay. I don't ask money, just for info @Anastasia

Thanks my friend. I moved to my room. Scenery change and I don't like to be heard when on the phone. Puts me off.

Re: Help

Yes same same, feel uncomfortable if being heard. Change of scenery is good.

Still smile when asking questions. It comes through in your voice and people tend to give more freely.

Had someone day the other day my voice is like a song haha, black sabbath maybe...

Let me know how you go.

Just quietly I think you're awesome @MDT

Re: Help

yeah i remember them saying something like this when i was working at the phone centre a few years back @Anastasia
I didn't mind it - but it was repetitive. I used to call alumni and it was good to probe their minds for what they have been up to since uni and it gave me ideas

I still remember talking to a man who did the same course I did and had gone into a range of areas after graduation. He told me a story about his son who was a medical student and had high achievements but then ended his life due to mental health. He got upset talking about. But I believe he only shared this information because he felt comfortable.

It was good to do that job because i spoke to a variety of people. It taught me a lot in fact.

thanks for the support my friend - i appreciate it

Re: Help

@MDT it sounds like you did a wonderful job of effectively creating a safe space for that person, so much so that they felt comfortable sharing that really personal story with you. Well done! 👏👏

Re: Help

Thank you @TideisTurning
Yeah it wasn't a bad job. But not something I would want to do full time. I think it'd be exhausting.
