Re: -Enigma-

Thanks for tagging me @Former-Member as well as for the quick wrap up of where things are at with you.

I will get back to you later when I have more time to respond properly and a mind which cooperates with a bit of concentration. My mind seems like mush right now. 😳

Re: -Enigma-

Hi @Former-Member - it's good to hear from you. Thank you for the post.

I totally relate to the mushy head when there's is a lot going on and I feel so drained by it and overwhelmed. I hope hubby has settled somewhat. Reply when you can - I am will be here for you when you are ready

In the meantime look after you and know that people here care ❤️🤗xx

My evening is going well @outlander - just sitting back being lazy for now. I am thinking of doing some cross stitch, but that's as far as I have gone - just staring at it lol. Am still a bit tired, but relaxed. Always am after doing my volunteer stint.

Take care of that hand/wrist, there are meds for nerve pain - hopefully it will get better soon and there will be no need. I have experienced that shooting pain - not good.

What course are you thinking of doing? Nursing? Sounds like a good plan 😊

Re: -Enigma-

Only do it if your up for it. Just chilling works well too. @Former-Member i would never call you lazy.

They wont prescribed meds for the nerve thing as they want to monitor so just need to cope with it. Its been 11 weeks now.

Im thinking of redoing my medical terminology course.

Or this one

Re: -Enigma-

Sometimes I do have to give myself a shove @outlander, my motivation goes up and down for certain things.

I just had a look at that introduction to nursing open uni course - I may pass that onto my daughter. I think that would be a good way of knowing whether you would be interested to further pursue nursing. It would be good for you I feel - gives you options for the future. If you feel you are suited - it would be a secure career choice I feel. Let me know what you decide to do xx

Re: -Enigma-

Lol i lack lots of motivation too @Former-Member still  no way i would call you lazy.  Do you reckon you could upload a pic of your cross stitch?

Yeah sure. The course is free and only goes for a few weeks. Theres other taster type courses if shes interested.

Theres alot of areas in nursing and the courses i look at would also help me now in my carer role so its not a waste plus it intereats me even if i wasnt to become a rn. Lot sof things out there but you gotta start somewhere first yeah

Re: -Enigma-

Very true @outlander - we have to start somewhere and then see where that leads us. Could be a life changing experience in time, who knows and you have the heart for it - I also like the independence and options that can come with careers.

I will try and take some photos of my cross stitch when the light is better and will post in a few days - I have been a bit slow with this one because I have been out of sorts. But will get there. I will try and see if I have a photo to put up of an old one I have done that I have not shown you before. I have done some simple small ones and some large ones that took some time - I did a lot of sewing when I lived in the country as the weather was much colder living down South and I was inside more - especially after a brown snake came at me when working in my rose garden 😳😨 Didn't venture outdoors much after that and a couple of years after we moved. There are no snakes on the beach 😌

Have you done any more artwork?

Re: -Enigma-

Oh yes please do @Former-Member i love seeing your  artworks.

Weve got the best of both worlds. Snakes one side and beaches the other lol. Ive nearly trod on a red belly a few times at the paddock. The beaches are ruined by too many friggin dogs so i dont go. When we travel further south the beaches are nice and no dogs but we dont go very often.

No.. no more artworks here yet. My hands been sore and have had the headaches etc so been drained. Seen gp about that today though.

Re: -Enigma-

@outlander I posted a photo below of my cross stitch "The Witching Hour" - the black cat is the spitting image of my black British Girl except she is chubbier - her eyes are gold, just amazing. I love this one (sorry about the glare off the glass - not the greatest photo).

Re: -Enigma-

That's bad @outlander when the beaches are ruined by dogs - sounds like it's out of control 😕. I hope that does not happen here.

I wanted acres near the beach but that virtually non-existent here. Red bellys usually will move away unless you either go to walk on them (happened to me) or they are mating 😧😐😑😶

Re: -Enigma-

Still waiting on the dreaded  triangle @Former-Member

It annoys me so much. Theres 4 beaches near me. One that is really only rocks and water but no dogs. And the other 3 are off leash  beaches and i really hate it. Its not the dogs fault but it would be nice to go for a walk without having panic attacks at the thought of even going there.

We have quite alot of bushland. Mostly they stay away because  of the horses cows and sheep and people but on the odd occasion they are around so always on the lookout. We also  have foxes too

Ive nearly stood on one too. It looked like horse poo and went to walk over it and it moved!
