im back..... i think

Re: im back..... i think

What can you do to distract @outlander?
Can you deep breathe now?
Can you relax for a while maybe see if the midday movie is any good.
Anything to get your mind off it all.
It's over now, thank goodness you had it all done.
I know it's not a pleasant experience, it's over, thank goodness.
Try to think of something else

Re: im back..... i think

Well done that you have achieved it @outlander .... ❣

Women's health investigations can feel invasive and overwhelming for anyone .... and much more so when there has been SA ..... but it is much less invasive and traumatic than major illness in intimate areas which haven't been picked up and treated, and have spun out of control.

You have done the pro-active thing and taken charge of your health.

Well done you ...... 💙💕 ...... find something to soothe yourself with now to help you move past this moment .... and if that means curling up into a ball for a while, that is self-care too ......

Hugs 🌷🐬

I feel empty

Re: im back..... i think

That feeling will pass @outlander ..... breathe, and distract yourself with other things .....

💙🐬💕

Re: im back..... i think

I'm sorry you are feeling that way @outlander. I have no idea whether this will be helpful to share with you, but when I had to have an invasive procedure done, I used a LOT of positive self-talk both before and after it. After the procedure, I sat in my car and said (out aloud) something like "I feel EMPOWERED. I did something scary in order to keep myself healthy. It was icky but I did it and if there is anything bad going on in my inside, it is MUCH better to get it sorted out sooner rather than later. I'm super awesome."...and then I treated myself to something yummy to eat.  As I said, I don't know if that will be helpful or not because we are different people with different experiences, but I wanted to share it with you just in case. Re: im back..... i think

This is so tough for you - and you are so brave taking yourself through this for the sake of your health and well being

Investigations into female health is really unpleasant - men get scared easily when they have to have injections - they can faint - and yet they do not experience all the stuff woman have - to be the woman is to have all the tough stuff

And this is so hard - no wonder you are freaking out - sometimes there is nothing else to do except breathe - and that is the most important thing - keep breathing

Thinking of you @outlander 💜

When you can, do something nice for yourself. These yucky feelings will pass.

Sorry @outlander. I now ask you not to be offended by my giving you space. There are many caring souls here, all of which cope differently at different times.

You will never be aloneHeart

Re: im back..... i think

You would have been triggered "big time" because of SA @outlander
Can you have a rest before you head out and get your sisters?
