Share a cuppa?

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @tyme, you're doing a great job. I'd just like to say to @Paulette that I too have had experience of a lifeline telephone counsellor not only being unhelpful, but even being downright harmful to me. It's part of the nature of those services, that while they're often quite good at what they offer, sometimes they are frankly horrible...well, they're afterall human, and NOTHING is ever good all the time. I hear you @Paulette, as I'm sure many do, they just don't say so. Even many Lifeline and other counsellors hear you. Do you know there's also Griefline that may be able to help you? You are going through grief.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Having said that @tyme, I'm ready for a lovely coffee. I've always been a coffee head, more than a tea drinker.

Re: Share a cuppa?

that’s ok cause there’s a step stool behind that sliding door you can take that out and use it @tyme

I’m not very tall either, I get ya

Re: Share a cuppa?

Thanks @Abner . Thank you for sharing your experiences.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Of course! @Abner ! By the way, how's your music going?

Re: Share a cuppa?

You're hilarious... You've put a smile on my face tonight @ArraDreaming - trust you to think of an answer for everything!

I can see your boys running you around in circles later - if they don't already! They will have an answer for everything!

**tyme goes and brings out a step stool to reach the hanger....but is immensely grateful for the wardrobe.. at last!

Re: Share a cuppa?

They run around me in circles every day of my life @tyme and climb on me.
I always have to have the answer, or the last word in sometibg, yeah I’m one of them

Re: Share a cuppa?

I'm getting back to my music practice @tyme, after having to take a break to recover my breathing from the bug my cats gave me, I've just about got the mass of St. Francis under my fingers. This rest has given my left thumb time to recover from stiffness, and exercising on my parallel bars allows to use those hand muscles in different ways, and that also allows some recovery.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @Former-Member ,

Your advice doesn't assist me. Please don't message me on here anymore. I will not message you either. No, I don't require your assistance. I feel I get better support on here from those who are not peer support workers.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @Paulette, @ArraDreaming, @Meowmy, @Former-Member, @Shaz51, @tyme. How are you all today? I've just gone for a lovely walk down to the University and back. While I was there I popped in to chat with two of our illustrious, and industrious conductors, I was chatting to them while they were being social and working hard at their desks at the same time. I've just come back and am going to have some lunch. We were talking about the Yiddish Dances, and the Aaron Copland Old American Songs.
