Re: Night Shift

You're welcome @Mazarita.

Ive had a rocky start to the year as well. Trying to climb back up now but as you know it's steps forwards and backwards constantly. Just for now trying to stick with a few of the more positive threads on the forum as I was getting triggered a lot by EVERYTHING, not just people in crisis but all sorts of crazy things so have taken a step back. And by crazy things I mean I was reactive to absolutely any little thing.  Life is feeling lie one big unknown at the moment, but today is ok for now, so I'll go with that.

I hope you find lots of moments of peace and joy. 💜🤗

Not feeling so good atm

I am just going to take it easy tonight, and phone one of my specialists tomorrow, and I mite have to go into hospital. I most likely go into a clinic interstate from here, I prefer the clinics interstate. I am going to put Kira into kennels that way I don't have to worry about her.

Hi @oceangirl ..... 🌷💕

Hi @Faith-and-Hope Heart

What time is it where you are???

I've just taken a headache tablet and resting in aircon

I had a big day today- my car broke down after my gym session and I got it started again and I stopped off at the shops and then it wouldn't start again and I decided to walk home and have a shower and then walk back to the car and try again and I had no luck, I then decided to phone roadside assistance and they came out and he couldn't start it, my car couldn't recognize its own key lol, and he tried a few things to start it and it wouldn't work, the only option was to drive me to my place and pickup spare key and drive back and to see if that worked, and that did the trick- no more using the old key and I will have to replace this key on Monday or Tuesday dependening when I can get to the dealership.

How was your day @Faith-and-Hope ??

Re: Night Shift

It's 1:45pm here @oceangirl .... middle of the day ....

I had broken sleep again last night .... the family is unsettled and the living space is small, so the night owls disturb the sleeping ones .... need the night owls to settle then everything will be good, but WH remains a troubled sleeper, and will until he's sorted.  One is easier to deal with than four .... 😏

Went for coffee with the clam downstairs this morning, then have been chatting a bit around the forum whike painting on the side .... have posted my latest stint on F&A .....

Sorry to hear about your car troubles.  I'm guessing it's hot where you are too .... not fun !

Re: Night Shift

HeartI hope you get some better sleep tonight @Faith-and-Hope. Is WH sleep problem associated with his eating disorder? I am bit of a night owl too but I actually slept better last night and I was able to get a solid 7 hours sleep. I have been sleeping better the past few weeks. It was hot here today and tomorrow will be a bit warmer still. I think that is why I have a headache today?

Its good  to hear you where out and about this morning with the clam. I did some fitness training using the ADF app and its not too bad and is quite user friendly. I am going to be doing some cycling & swimming tomorrow depending on how I pull up tomorrow but worse case scenario I will just do a cycle session tomorrow.

Re: Night Shift

Have to dash out ... back in a bit ....

Thanks for letting me know Smiley Happy Heart

Re: Night Shift

Back again .... 😊

Yes, WH's sleep disturbances are linked to his e.d. I believe.  In his current world view, he thinks he has always been like this, but it's not true.  Even when it was BED he still slept like a log.

The kids are in troubled sleep patterns owing to the circumstantial depression / anxiety, but of course I can't explain that to WH, and he gets frustrated and upset with them for it, compounding the situation.  The kids understand this catch-22 though, and considering everything, I think we are doing well to just live with it as a band-aid situation to try to tide us through.

It will all need revisiting to make sure we're okay, later.

Yes, heat exhaustion can cause headaches.  I presume you're remembering to drink a lot to stay hydrated ?

 @Faith-and-Hope Heart Smiley Happy

Sorry I just saw your message now, I thought I would keep busy until you came back, I have been on the phone to my mum for over one hour. I have heard people with eating disorders suffering from sleep problems too.

Its probably not helping when he gets frustrated and upset with them because as you said it just makes the problem worse especially when the kids are prone to anxiety. WH sounds a bit like my Dad. I have suffered from anxiety for a while but never really made the link re sleep and anxiety. I just know anxiety does not get better with age and I think it should be talked about more and taken more seriously because there are so many suffers of this condition and the early you get it treated and sorted hopefully the better the outcome.

I did have water whilst I was training at the gym and then I took water back with me when I walked back to the car, and I've had over 2 litres today. I am not a big water drinking but I made sure I had water today as it was so hot here. I think I mite have a bit of sinus happening too and the heat does not help with this. I amhoping it cools down a bit after tomorrow.
