High Tea and Housewarming

Hello there @Anastasia .  How lovely that you have been able to get to my housewarming that @Eve7 organised for me on Sunday, albeit a few days late.  Not a problem however, as my door is always open to my dear friends here. 😊💕

It is always a great pleasure to see you on the forums @Anastasia , which doesn't seem to happen much lately. I know your business must keep you really busy, and from what little you have said, it sounds like things are going well.  Yay you! 🎉  

Thanks so much for the surprise treats and flowers for my new home.  They are so much appreciated.  As I mentioned earlier on in this thread, I have only had one visitor here since I moved in.  And that was a brief visit from the son of my dear friend who lives in Sydney.  Which was lovely, but I guess I'm finding it a little hard not being able to share my home with anyone. I don't mean on a daily basis, as I am essentially happy living alone.  But I mean in that it would be nice to share my good fortune in finding a lovely new home and have someone say: "yes, its right for you, its lovely, you have made a great choice".  I suppose I am looking for reassurance?  Does that make sense?

Anyway these new flowers can soon take the place of a real bunch of flowers that my Sydney friend sent me a couple of weeks ago as a housewarming gift.  They have lasted really well, and I still have a couple of red and white carnations and some greenery decorating my dining room table.  

Anyway thanks @Anastasia for dropping in, and for the congrats.  It was a long haul to find the right place and damned hard work moving again.  But I'm here now ... to stay.  Once I get a road trip family visit in a couple of weeks out of the way, I will be getting serious about finding myself a little dog.  Then I will be content. 😊🐶🧡

Hi @Emelia8  and thanks for the tag. I've been in house 10 weeks now maybe? still short a  few items,but its largely liveable. I have a burst of days and do stuff then stop for weeks lol.

I have had 2 visitors. Glad to be on my own mostly though

you reminded me @Shaz51  been looking for one of those plain white teapots for ages, need to remind myselfto go to asian grocery next time in Adelaide. asked at indian places in perth , just met with stares , what is a teapot ??.. oh you mean a coffee kettle ..  ho k

My insurnace plumbing job has really made progress today.  Had a mini footie team of tradies doing stuff.   Wow!  It needed to be done, as son without a vanity for 4 months.  Another couple days ... with caulk and paint etc.  But mostly done! Yippee!
