I can't see the images after Shaz's yet. I'm about to go back to sleep for a while so I'll check them in a bit.

I was feeling quite low yesterday, reflecting a lot, feeling a failure in some aspects of my life, missing those special relationships that I've lost. I really wasn't looking forward to my birthday much at all.

Then yesterday evening my mother turned up, and right behind her was my sister from Adelaide!! I was so pleasantly surprised. She'll be here for two weeks. I'm still going away to my foster sister's in a couple of days, but my sister and I will have almost a week together to catch up (next week). She's with her partner this week (he flies out for a new job on the weekend) and wants to spend time with family members based here. So it's good for her to do that. I had dinner with some of my Aunties and an Uncle plus my sister, her partner and my mother last night. Just a simple, home cooked meal which was delicious.

My mother has some other surprise today which also involves other family (from last night) so I've yet to experience that.

OK, I'll catch you all later today and let you know what the surprise was.
