hahaha yes laser pointers are wonderful for cat play @CheerBear. Cat would rather sit out in the garden and chase lizards than play in the house with her toys though. Toby on the other hand provides me with hours of enjoyment playing with his toys. They are both so spoilt lol
They are funny how they find the warmest spots whether that be by our sides or sitting in the sun somewhere - I hope Mouse keeps sleeping with you despite the weather getting warmer - that company is a wonderful thing - especially when you need it at the moment.

Good morning, @CheerBear. Here if you happen to be awake this early and feel like chatting.

Hi @CheerBear, sorry it's taken a while to get back to you. I have heard what sounded like gunshots, maybe in the street at the front of our building, and so have tried to report it to the police, but their station is unmanned. I was instead directed to the police website in this state, which, because I wanted to remain anonymous with the report, linked me through to Crime Stoppers, where I reported the incident. I don't feel in any danger myself, but it was alarming and really broke the quiet of the night. It did scare me a bit though, and I've shut my courtyard doors now and closed the blinds. I may venture out there again to have a smoke in a while. Even with possible gunfire around, I still want a smoke!

We are not that close to the street, @CheerBear, about halfway down the building in a fairly private nook. It's stopped now and all seems quiet again, except for the early birds. It happened just as the first light appeared in the sky!
We can get back to chatting normally again now. How are you this morning?

@CheerBear, I lost track of time again between posts, as I'm writing a long rave about yesterday on the other thread. I'm not too shaken now, but was just for a little while at the short time I heard the possible gunshots.
Really glad to hear you are sleeping better.
I am pretty good this morning, though I've only had a couple of hours sleep so far. I've been awake for about three to four hours since waking from that first burst. A bit exhausted from yesterday as it was a breakthrough kind of day for me, and a long day of socialising. I may well do it again on a semi-regular basis. My friend down there, and his friend who I am getting close to as well, are both good and interesting people. Despite whatever social anxiety I might have felt, I feel really happy I did it. It was really a great day!
