@SadUnicorn  there have been more times that I'd like to admit that I've left the washing in the machine overnight and had to rewash it the next day...

But I reckon you can do it 🙂

Thank you @frog , I appreciate it...

I'm sorry you're so exhausted. I really hope you can refresh and get some energy overnight tonight. Small steps are good. 🙂

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

@NatureLover washing hung out 🙂 That just leaves washing up. I hate weekends, depression and boredome always get worse. Entered this weekend with pain much worse than normal hasn't helped so everything in very small steps.

Planning a walk next weekend and trying to find people to join in so it is better than boring

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

@SadUnicorn  good for you for hanging the washing out 🙂

Do you mean emotional or physical pain? Either way, I'm sorry to hear 😞 and I hope that it improves...

Good luck too with the never-ending washing up.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

@NatureLover physical chronic pain, the result of a disorder I have lived with all my life. Complication increase over time. It is a contributor to the depression. An emotionally abusive relationship and eventual splitup I guess could be called emotaional pain, but that has actially been a little better this last week 🙂 though I still hate living alone with the social isolation created during the relationship. Still miss my step children terribly. Wish I was into gaming or social media to pass the time, but they are not my thing intellectally. What did occupy my time was very technical and destroyed when I left. I am housed as a victim of domestic abuse and it is impossible to resetup here. Maybe when more permanent accomodation is found I can do something. In the meantime it is dealing with legacy debt as everithing somehow ended up in my name. Not easy on a disability pension - no extra fortnitly covid payment here. She gets covid jobseeker, though no interest in work, but will not contribute and tells the kids money is short because I left! I left things of mine there that the kids used and continued paying bills related to them.

It has been a very hard few months - sometimes I think staying with the abuse would have been better, untill I remember certain parts of it and how this is the only way to get to a brighter future if that is possible at 50 yo.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

@Sadumicorn, sorry to hear about your circumstances and disreluption to housing. Its a huge decision to leave abuse, and a bigger loss to adapt to. I felt like you after, wondered if I'd be better off working around it but no, it is better to find peace where you live. If that means being alone, so be it. Give yourself 6 - 24months to start feeling normal. Hope you find your own place soon. Don't go back 💙💜💙💜💙💜💙

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi @NatureLover, I love listing what I've achieved at the end of my day, in my A4 size diary to wind down before bed, it's able ndof reward I guess... I put a little box next to it that I tick off ✔️The bigger the job the bigger the tick. If it's something that brings me special joy - I also put a smile face beside it 😃 Actually use smilie faces throughout my journalling and diary. Helps. Well done what you've achieved. My son's visit was last weekend - Its lovely to have 'em around, and sure does motivate us to 'clean up' @Teej 💜
Today I did a few good things. Mended the curtain brase, hemmed the frill curtain and got them up in the spare room / office. Bit tricky climbing the step ladder with my knees but it's done now. I walked the block and introduced myself to some lovely neighbours who were clearing out some bricks I had my eye on. They dropped them in on their way to the tip. Now I can extend my back courtyard cement that bit to sit outdoor table and chairs on. Heavy work though, for another day.
