I grew up in the country and spent every spare moment fishing, and rabbiting.
Miss it so much

I really don't know about EMDR myself.
I've had a tonne of ECT and that didn't help for anxiety. It helped lots of other people with depression though.

A tonne of ECT sounds very heavy @down_not_out
Do you know how it has impacted you long term .... is there a way to isolate the effects?
It was suggested for my son but none of us were keen on that (eg his father, son or I).
I need to go to a new shrink this afternoon. He is psychoanalytic school.
I had a psycholoigist offer to do EMDR with me ... but she got nowhere in developing sufficient rapport. I just saw her as overprivileged and pushing latest cure. I can understand it may have some benefit, but suspect it is a bit gimmicky and not tied with genuine insight to benefit me.

How are you going today?
Can I ask what you like to make with your hand skills?
I was an aircraft maintenance engineer back in the day.

Mostly gardening and music. I play piano and recorder, and have a few gardens, my own, a court garden, a guerilla garden and a physio garden. @down_not_out Used to sew and do tapestry but not any more.
I loved the sound of you growing up in the country ... but I grew up surrounded by a lot of concrete, and these days I try and green the city as much as I can. It also helps me gett vit d and be active.

My dad was a great muso and played in a garage band in the late 60s and then a Jazz band in the 90s-200s.
The banjo and guitar.
I love music but cannot play. What sort of music do you like?
btw, I can't support your posts for some reason.
