When I first started my 8 weeks of radiation, they had some riddles stuck to the ceiling. I though his will make it easier and I assumed they changed them, maybe every week or so. Nope, they never changedthem while I was there. Say I would just lay there with my eyes closed and relax.

See, now if I see someone reading a book and making a bunch of facial expressions, my first thought is 'oh, what is that book?'

That’s a beautiful scene @tyme
I hope you enjoy it @Hopeandlove and also let us know if you’d like to chat about anything in particular or send you more images or whatever.
It’s interesting that all of us seem to be nature lovers. I’m a bit of a nerd with books and read a lot of nonfiction but I like a good crime whodunnit.

@MJG017 @my radiotherapies really triggered my cPTSD as there were similarities to abuse so I was unable to close my eyes as I was went back to being hypervigilant. But that story is not for this thread. But that made me think at least some other people will be having similar reactions and would perhaps benefit from a calming distraction. They replace the normal ceiling tiles so they are quite big. The department has told me since that other patients have benefited from them. So I am pretty happy if I can in some way help another human.

Sorry I couldn't reply sooner, things have taken a bit of a turn at the moment and I'm being monitored closely.
I don't have it in me to reply to everyone individually but please know that I have read every post and appreciate the kind words and support. The descriptive surroundings that some of you have contributed here are where I'm finding myself getting lost in to escape reality.
My body is tired and I'm feeling like I'm not within my body, my head feels distant as though it's in another place. I'm so very sleepy and my eyes are heavy.
@tyme I love that picture, thank you 💙.
I'm going to get some rest and I hope to chat you all another time. Thank you all for being here and making me feel so cared for and loved in this space 💙. Please take care of yourselves and each other, you are all so precious to this world 💙

I hope you have a good rest @Hopeandlove my friend.
Take whatever assistance is offered overnight and hope to chat later. I’ll be busy tomorrow but I’ll be thinking of you, I’ll be in nature first thing.
