Am thinking of you very much today @Anastasia with having to work when you're so burnt out and grieving 😞
I never look at my phone at work, work is always too busy...I don't know what made me look yesterday right after you'd posted in distress.
I am sending wishes that your GP on Monday can give you a medical certificate for at least a few days off, preferably a week.
Also that you can get through today at work somehow...just one more day before the weekend. Wishing you strength, endurance, comfort, and sleep at night.
And can you book in with your holistic counsellor?
Much 💚, hugs and care...

I'm at panic stations as I've just been notified of a regular rental inspection happening next Wednesday morning...I can't manage the house at any given time, so it's incredibly messy and dirty. I have Hoarding Disorder plus OCD Germophobia...ironically, the dirt and germs already in my house (created by me) are considered "mine" and don't cause me to become sick...plus things pile up in huge piles waiting till I have the energy / can face disinfecting them. Each item, even a piece of paper, needs disinfecting, so it's a massive burden that I can't keep up with.
Usually we are given about 2 weeks' notice of an inspection, but this time it's 5 days!! Plus the remote inspection technology is unreliable (I've used it twice before) and so I really need to try to submit my remote inspection on Tuesday to make sure it goes through in time. Making it 4 days. Usually it's such a battle for me physically and mentally, and massively stressful. It brings up all my terrible fears about homelessness...what if I don't pass the inspection??? And people brushing it off and saying "Oh, you'll be fine" doesn't help - those people usually own their own home, have no problem keeping it clean and tidy, and don't battle daily housing insecurity and fears!
I also have 2 engagements I can't get out of, on Sunday and Tuesday 😞 I also have my physical volunteering day on Monday, but it's unlikely I will make that sadly. The cleaning and tidying is going to be painful on my body (I get a lot of arthritis pain if I stand for more than an hour). Usually with 2 weeks' notice I can pace myself and do say 2 or 3 hours a day over the 2 weeks - yes, it takes that many hours for me to clean up for an inspection 😞 They are incredibly hard to cope with.
I can't get a cleaner in as they will touch things in my house which will cause me to panic due to my germophobia. Plus, I once got a cleaner in during my nervous breakdown 13 years ago, and she cleaned the toilet and then with the same gloves on, did the washing up! Toilet germs are the ultimate horror for me...I never got a cleaner again, even though I know I need one. Yes, I know I'm a hypocrite /contradiction in terms /whatever you would like to call it, but that's the way my illness works.
I usually don't ask for much support here on the forums, but I always struggle massively to cope with inspections 😞

Hello @NatureLover
I can understand your position from various perspectives, in that it is similar to my own. While it is also apparent that you have a limited time-frame, I am also about to go out. But wanted to let you know that I would like to respond in more detail this evening.
As an interim suggestion, because the "inspection is done remotely" (something with which I am not familiar), is it possible to clear/clean specific areas that can then be offered as inspection material?
For Now
Best Wishes

Oh @NatureLover
I hear you!!!! I recall the distress around this for you from last time. I also recall sending you cleaning fairies and you said they really helped. So I have enlisted in them again and spoken sternly to them that they need to be proactive and not get in your way or cause you any more concern. They listened and they will be there for you without causing any more anxiety.
You've got this.
Remember the bleach in the shower trick. They are looking for damage not an immaculate showhome. Keep that in focus.
I've got my gloves on in spirit and I am your biggest fan.
Hugs, love strength and absolutely everything you need dear NL, you are a 🌟
